Weekly Plan: Goals to a Time-Blocked Calendar
Turns your goals and last week's slips into a capacity-checked, time-blocked week with buffer, a not-doing list, and a fallback plan.
Before & after
Same prompt, same agent — the only difference is the skill.
I can help you translate your monthly goals into a weekly plan. That's a good way to stay organized and make sure you're making progress toward your bigger objectives. Generally, you'd want to break down your goals into smaller tasks and then schedule them throughout the week. I'd need to understand more about your specific goals, your schedule, and what constraints you're working with. Do you have your monthly goals written down? And how much time do you have available each week? Once I know more about your situation, I can help you create a structured plan.
YOUR WEEKLY PLAN (derived from monthly goals): MONDAY: → 09:00-11:00 | Record three YouTube shorts (goal: ship content, priority first) → 11:00-12:30 | Respond to community comments (goal: engagement, secondary) → 14:00-15:30 | Outline email sequence for launch campaign TUESDAY: → 10:00-12:00 | Outline course module (goal: product, blocks Wednesday work) → 14:00-16:00 | Review analytics from last week (goal: metrics review) → 16:30-17:30 | Buffer time for overruns WEDNESDAY: → 09:00-12:00 | Script course module section (goal: product, follow Monday) → 13:00-14:30 | Pitch partner collaboration (goal: growth) THURSDAY: → 10:00-11:30 | Record course video (goal: product) → 14:00-16:00 | Write email copy for launch FRIDAY: → 09:00-10:30 | Admin + community response → 11:00-12:00 | Weekly review + next week planning → 13:00+ | Flexible (catch up on delays) BLOCKED: Tuesday-Thursday mornings protected for deep work. Friday holds 90 minutes buffer for overruns. Your brand voice + niche integrated into every task description.
About this skill
Every Monday you write a to-do list, and by Wednesday it's fiction. The goals are real, but they never become hours on a calendar, and the same task slips week after week. This skill turns your goals into a week that fits the time you actually have: it checks capacity, explains why last week's tasks slipped, and places sized work blocks on specific days.
What it does
- Does the capacity math first: open hours after meetings, admin, and buffer, compared with the hours your priorities need. It tells you when they don't fit.
- Diagnoses last week's slipped tasks (underestimated, interrupted, unclear, blocked, avoided) and applies a matching fix instead of rolling them forward unchanged.
- Works backward from fixed dates such as launches, sponsor deadlines, and editor turnaround to decide what must happen this week.
- Breaks priorities into 30-180 minute blocks, each with a verb, a concrete output, and a done-test, then places them by energy: deep work in your peak window, shallow work in the slumps.
- Batches creator work like filming, recording, and editing so setup time is paid once per batch.
- Produces a not-doing list and a minimum-viable-week fallback for when the week breaks.
What you get
A one-screen weekly plan with a capacity check, three ranked priorities, a day-by-day time-blocked schedule, buffer, a not-doing list, and a fallback plan. On request it also produces a format you can paste into your calendar tool.
Best for
Creators, freelancers, solopreneurs, and small-team operators who set their own schedule and keep losing the week to slippage and overcommitment.

name: weekly-plan-goals-to-time-blocked-calendar
description: Turns a person's goals, fixed commitments, and last week's results into a capacity-checked, time-blocked week. It runs the hours math, diagnoses why tasks slipped, works backward from deadlines, sizes tasks into blocks with done-tests, places them by energy, and adds buffer, a not-doing list, and a fallback plan. Use when the user says "plan my week", "turn my goals into a schedule", "time-block my week", "I have a launch on the 30th, what do I do this week", "my to-do list never gets done", "the same tasks keep slipping every week", "I'm overcommitted, help me fit this in", or "run my Monday planning".
