Welcome Sequence Builder
Builds a multi-email welcome sequence that onboards new subscribers.
Before & after
Same prompt, same agent — the only difference is the skill.
A welcome sequence is a great idea. Most people just send one welcome email, but a sequence of 3-5 emails over a week or so tends to work better. You'd want the first email to make a good first impression and maybe set expectations for what they're getting. Follow-up emails could introduce your story, share valuable content, or encourage engagement. You'd probably want to include some kind of call-to-action in each email. Testing different approaches helps—subject lines, timing, content types. Some people ask for feedback or do a survey. Building rapport early helps with retention. What's your newsletter about?
WELCOME SEQUENCE: 5-EMAIL ONBOARDING (7-DAY CADENCE) EMAIL 1: WELCOME HOOK (sent immediately upon signup) Subject: "Your (free) insider access starts now" From: Founder name (personal, not noreply@) Goal: Set expectations, immediate value Content: → Thank you (brief) → What they'll get each week (specific: "3-minute reads on founder psychology") → This week's free resource: "The 7-figure founder mindset checklist" (PDF link) → CTA: "Download your checklist" (button) Length: 200 words max Timestamp: Immediately (within 60 seconds) EMAIL 2: CREDIBILITY BUILDER (sent +1 day) Subject: "Why I started this email thing..." From: Same founder Goal: Build trust via origin story Content: → Personal story: 5 failed businesses before success (specific failure) → Single insight that changed everything (relatable struggle) → This newsletter: How to avoid those same mistakes → CTA: "Reply and tell me: what's your biggest founder pain right now?" (engagement) Length: 300-400 words Timestamp: Tuesday 8am (recipient's timezone, inferred) EMAIL 3: SOCIAL PROOF (sent +3 days) Subject: "Here's what 5,000+ founders are reading..." From: Same founder Goal: FOMO + community signal Content: → Reader testimonial: One quote from high-profile subscriber → Stat: "2.1K replies last week to our founder questions" (social proof) → Next week's topic teaser: "Why delegation is the $500K mistake" → CTA: "Here's where to follow for live updates" (LinkedIn link) Length: 150 words Timestamp: Thursday 10am EMAIL 4: VALUE STACK (sent +5 days) Subject: "The playbook everyone wants access to" From: Founder + Team Goal: Deepen engagement, preview premium offering Content: → Recap: 3 best ideas from past 3 weeks of newsletter → Deep-dive link: One long-form article (3000+ word guide) → Offer: Early access to founders community ($97/month) — "Join 247 founders inside" → CTA: "See what's inside the community" (gated landing page) Length: 250 words Timestamp: Friday 2pm EMAIL 5: ENGAGEMENT CHECK (sent +7 days) Subject: "One thing I want to know about you..." From: Founder Goal: Segment engaged subscribers, gather feedback Content: → Single question: "What's your biggest blocker right now—team, money, product, or market?" (multiple choice, clickable links) → Based on answer: Tagging subscriber for future personalized sends → Mention: "I read every reply" (personal touch) → CTA: Click your blocker (sends to Typeform → segments audience) Length: 100 words Timestamp: Sunday 6pm SEQUENCE RULES → One email per subscriber per day (no stacking) → If user clicks link in any email, skip remaining sequence emails → If user unsubscribes, remove from follow-up sends immediately → Re-engagement send (day 30): "Still here?" offer for inactive readers METRICS TO TRACK → Open rate target: 40%+ (high because emails are new + personal) → Click-through rate target: 15%+ (engagement signal) → Unsubscribe rate: <2% (too high = content mismatch) → Reply rate goal: 8%+ (Email 2 and 5 ask direct questions) → Conversion to paid: Track which email drove community signups
