UGC Creator Portfolio, Rate Card and Brand Pitches
Builds a UGC portfolio organized by ad format, a rate card with separately priced usage rights, and short brand pitches.
Before & after
Same prompt, same agent — the only difference is the skill.
Getting paid UGC gigs involves a few key steps: - Build a portfolio of sample content - Define your rates - Reach out to brands you'd like to work with - Have a clear pitch about what you offer Start by creating some spec content to show your style, even for brands you haven't worked with. Then reach out with a clear, professional pitch. Platforms and agencies can also connect you with brands. Would you like help putting together a portfolio or writing a pitch?
The creator side of UGC — portfolio, rate card, and outreach that lands
paid deals. This is for you getting hired (the brand-side brief is a
separate thing). Three pieces, in order.
1. PORTFOLIO — structured to get you booked, not just to look nice
• 3-5 spec pieces even with zero clients — make content for brands
you WANT, in the format they buy (a real unboxing, a real testimonial
style). Brands hire on "can you make my thing," proven by you
making a thing like it.
• Organized by content TYPE (unboxing, testimonial, tutorial), so a
brand sees the exact format they need.
2. RATE CARD — so you're not negotiating from zero
• Per-deliverable, not per-hour: "1 video, 30s, 2 revisions = $X;
usage rights + $Y." Naming usage rights separately is where UGC
creators leave the most money — brands expect to pay for it, but
only if you list it.
• Tiers: single video / bundle / monthly. The bundle anchors the
single up.
3. OUTREACH PITCHES — specific, not spray
• Reference the brand's actual product and a content gap you spotted.
• Lead with a concrete idea ("a 30s unboxing in this style"), attach
one relevant spec piece, name your starting rate. A pitch with a
visible sample and a price converts; "I do UGC, interested?" doesn't.
THE MINDSET SHIFT
You're not asking for work; you're offering a specific deliverable at a
specific price with proof attached. That framing is what turns content
skill into income.
Tell me your niche and a dream brand, and I'll build the rate card and
draft the first pitch.About this skill
You've made good UGC videos, but brands ghost your DMs, you have no idea what to charge, and you think you may have given away ad rights for free. This skill treats UGC as ad creative for sale. It builds a portfolio that buyers can judge in seconds, a rate card that prices the license separately from the video, and pitches that offer one specific paid test.
What it does
- Restructures your samples by ad format (problem-solution, testimonial, demo, routine, voiceover) and picks your three strongest hooks to lead with
- Builds a rate card with a base video price, paid-usage tiers by term, whitelisting/Spark Ads, extra hooks, raw footage, rush, and exclusivity, then checks that the math stays consistent
- Writes cold pitches under 120 words that reference the brand's current ads and end with a single concrete paid ask
- Adds two follow-ups that each bring something new, plus a weekly target-list routine aimed at brands already buying UGC
- Handles budget pushback by cutting scope instead of your rate, and lists the terms to get in writing before you shoot
- Flags common traps: spec work shown as client work, copyrighted music in paid ads, unsupported skincare/supplement claims, perpetual rights at base price
What you get
Whichever piece you asked for (rate card, pitch, portfolio review, or the full kit), built from your actual samples, with assumptions marked and no invented results.
Best for
New and intermediate UGC creators who sell video content to DTC brands, especially those with spec samples and no clear pricing, or those whose outreach gets no replies.

description: Builds the creator side of paid UGC work. That means a portfolio organized by ad format and led by your strongest hooks, a rate card that prices the video separately from paid usage, whitelisting, and add-ons, and short brand pitches that reference the brand's current ads and end with one concrete paid ask. Use when the user says "how do I get UGC clients", "what should I charge for a UGC video", "build my UGC portfolio", "write a pitch to this brand", "brands keep ghosting my DMs", "they want usage rights, how much do I add", "I only have spec videos, is that enough", or "a brand offered $50, is that fair".
