Before & after
Same prompt, same agent — the only difference is the skill.
Prompt“Produce a 30-second product teaser video for our app.”
Beforegeneric AI agent
Here's how to approach a 30-second product teaser: **Structure**: - 0-3s: Hook — grab attention immediately - 3-10s: Problem — what pain does your product solve - 10-20s: Solution — show your product in action - 20-27s: Benefit — the payoff - 27-30s: CTA — what to do next **Production tips**: - Use screen recordings of the actual product - Add captions since many watch without sound - Keep it fast-paced - Use upbeat music - End with your logo and a clear CTA You could produce this with AI video tools, screen recording software, or by hiring an editor. Want help scripting it?

30-SECOND TEASER — production plan, scoped for AI-generated + screen
capture so you can actually make it without a crew.
THE 30-SECOND DISCIPLINE
Every second is contested. One idea, one payoff. A teaser that explains
the whole product fails; a teaser that makes one promise and shows one
proof works.
SHOT LIST — timecoded, with source per shot
0:00–0:03 HOOK. The problem as a visual, not a claim. Screen capture
of the messy before-state (the cluttered spreadsheet, the
10 open tabs). No logo yet — earn the logo.
0:03–0:09 TENSION. Let the pain breathe for 2 beats. Motion + a
single line of on-screen text. This is where sound-off
viewers decide — caption it.
0:09–0:20 REVEAL. The product doing the one thing. Real screen
capture, sped up 1.5×, cursor motion smoothed. This is the
only "product" section — resist showing five features.
0:20–0:26 PAYOFF. The after-state. The clean result, the time saved,
the number.
0:26–0:30 CTA + logo. One action. URL held on screen the full 4s.
AI-GENERATED vs SCREEN CAPTURE — per shot
Hook/payoff b-roll → AI-generated is fine (abstract, mood).
The reveal (0:09–0:20) → REAL screen capture only. AI-generated UI
looks fake and kills trust in the exact moment you're building it.
This split is the one that separates a teaser that converts from one
that looks like an ad for nothing.
NON-NEGOTIABLES
• Captions burned in — most views are sound-off, and the hook line
must land silently.
• First frame is not your logo. It's the problem. Logo-first teasers
get scrolled.
• 9:16 master, 1:1 and 16:9 crops exported — check the CTA stays in
frame on all three.
Give me the one thing the product does best and I'll write the on-screen
text for each shot.About this skill
