Stock Footage Shot List for Faceless Video
Turns a narration script into a timed stock footage list: visual type, searches that match library tags, fallbacks, and license flags.
Before & after
Same prompt, same agent — the only difference is the skill.
I can help you think through your video. You'll want to find footage that matches the tone and pacing of your script. It's a good idea to consider what search terms might work on stock footage sites. You could organize it by scene or by visual theme. There are many stock footage platforms out there, and pricing varies. You might need to spend some time searching and comparing options.

About this skill
Your script is done, but finding visuals eats the whole afternoon. You search "feeling overwhelmed" and get nothing useful. You come up 80 clips short, and the edit ends up with the same hacker-in-a-hoodie shot every other channel uses. This skill turns your voiceover into a timed sourcing list your editor can work straight down.
What it does
- Splits the script into beats wherever the picture should change and times each one to the narration, so you know how many clips the video needs before you start searching
- Gives each beat a visual type (stock, editorial, graphic, on-screen text, screen recording, or AI fill), so stats and named people aren't forced into generic stock
- Writes a main search for each beat, built from words stock libraries actually tag (subject, action, setting, camera), plus a broader backup search
- Flags beats that will be hard to find, overused visuals (with a better alternative), mismatched eras or locations, and license or sensitive-topic risks
- Groups beats that follow one character or place so they come from the same shoot, keeping the same actor and lighting throughout
- Applies vertical-video rules for Shorts, Reels, and TikTok
What you get
A timed table with one row per beat: the voiceover line, visual type, what's on screen, main and backup searches, and flags. Below it, a summary with the cut count, mix of visual types, hard-to-find beats with a backup plan, and the order to source clips in.
Best for
Faceless YouTube channels, video editors and VAs who source b-roll for clients, and creators who build explainers from stock and voiceover.

description: Turns a narration script into a timed, beat-by-beat stock footage list. Each beat gets a visual type, a main search and a backup search written the way stock libraries tag clips, a group label for beats that need the same actor or place, and flags for overused, hard-to-find, or license-restricted footage. Ends with a clip count. Use when the user says "make a shot list for my script", "what stock footage should I use for this", "give me b-roll search terms for this voiceover", "I can't find footage for this line", "my faceless videos look generic", "my edit keeps repeating the same clips", or "find visuals for my YouTube script".
